Irish Farm luxurious self catering accommodation

Irish Farm is a traditional Victorian Farmhouse built of solid granite and constructed around 1880, offering luxurious self catering accommodation. The house is situated just outside the Moorland village of St Breward in North Cornwall which is over 700 feet above sea level and boasts Cornwall's highest church and inn. The wooded Camel Valley flows below whilst nearby are Brown Willy and Roughtor the two highest peaks in Cornwall. Irish Farm has direct access onto the fabulous spaces of Bodmin Moor and with no near neighbours, and far reaching views to the Camel Estuary and the sea beyond, Irish is truly a place to unwind and relax in total comfort and tranquility. From the house it is possible to walk all the way to Brown Willy (the highest point on the Moor) and Roughtor (the second). Within the wilderness of the Moor there lies an incredible number of Neolithic sites, holy wells and pools dating back far beyond the time of legendary Arthur, some of which must have been held sacred since the very dawn of mankind. One such holy well, whose waters are said to have curative powers, can be found nearby.

The walking country is magical with wild ponies, buzzards and sparkling streams and rivers. There is even a Llama which you might be lucky enough to spot. This is truly the heart of Cornwall, the land of the Celts, probably the least frequented and not to be overlooked.
